Countdown: 59 days
What: A ten day roadtrip from my hometown of Rochester NY to Seward AK. Throught the mountains of Bristish Columbia and the wilderness that is Alaska.
When: May 1st, projected end date; May 9th
Who: So far, just me and my Rabbit. Hopefully, I can convince my friend Matt to join me. Otherwise, It's going to be a lonely ten days.
The means: A small tent, warm sleeping bag, tons of food and gas and a few stops to hot springs and signpost forests.
Why: I have secured a position with Kenai Fjords Tours as a deckhand for the summer. This will be a challenging job, but I'm ready to step out of my comfort zone and give it a shot.
Things to do: Nail down the correct route and figure out campsites along the way.
